As humans, we tend to think about "what could've been". As of late, I find myself thinking back to past relationships and friendships and question whether or not I made the right decisions. I wonder if I could've listened more... been more patient... left sooner... communicated better. Then today I was sent something that said "No Looking Back". I received that as a sign from above to say specifically to ME.. "Jess, don't look back. Look forward and be grateful for the many blessings you"ve received".
These past 2 years alone are enough to rejoice and confirm that had I NOT made the decisions I did, when I did, I wouldn't be HERE now.
Today I am a successful GROWING business owner, I have a hyper puppy who I've raised since he was 2 months old, I have a tight circle of friends, and a tremendous support system. I've also gotten closer with God and have much more time to devote to my church. If I hadn't made those decisions who would I be now?
Weigh in #movers. Do you find yourself looking back? Are you regretful of anything? Would you do things differently if you had the chance??
That's true too! Discomfort is surely a sign of growth and I've been out of my element for 2 years... right on time for these great things to manifest. For those who are no longer on my journey, I reflect on what lessons I learned from them and have to be content with the notion that perhaps our time together may not have been for me, but for them. In some cases I was the vessel God used for others and other times I was the recipient. Great insight ladies!
I see that those who should come will keep standing next to and with you, other who shouldn’t will fall as you keep walking proud and tall!
Thank you both for your kind words! I think as we have grown older we have learned that our path was already preset for us and once we got uncomfortable, life and primarily God moved some things out of our way and moved us in a direction to make us comfortable and prepare us to walk on the path he wanted us to be on, though some couldn’t come along the journey, because it was meant for us, we are walking on it! I look forward to reading and watching the great things you ladies will do in this world!
Your comment also made me remember a saying I saw on social media.. "The past should be a place of REFERENCE, not RESIDENCE"
Yes! I do remember that movie & even the smallest change could make such a HUGE impact! I love the 2nd part to your comment as well! Appreciating your NOW! I would to add that we should look forward to what WILL be. Not MY will, but God's Will. Now I pray for discernment and for God to continue ordering my steps..thanks for sharing!
