I am a Project Manager for a Human Capital Management company by day and a Life Coach by night. When I first started my role at the HCM company 5 years ago, I used to come home and be really stressed. I wouldn't have the energy to cook, clean, socialize...nothing. About 2 years ago, that all changed. I started incorporating exercise into my evening regimen 4-5 days a week and noticed how much stress was removed from my thoughts.
It was comforting sitting cross-legged in Yoga and breathing deeply with a class full of strangers. It was fun to attend Zumba and dance my cares away. It was freeing to kick and punch a punching bag in Martial Arts thinking about all the hurled insults from disgruntled clients. Needless to say, in addition to maintaining a healthy diet, regular exercise is a wonderful way to not only burn calories, but eliminate stress. Let me know your thoughts on exercises you do to destress after a hard day!
